Cancellation Policy

This policy follows the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act and the vacation rental agreement that governs every Kismet Cottage booking.

• If you cancel your booking, we will attempt to re-rent your dates on the same terms.
• If the dates are re-rented, you will receive a refund of all payments made, less a $200.00 administrative fee.
• If the dates are not re-rented, payments made are not refundable.
• Add-on and third-party services already arranged for your stay (for example, golf tee times booked with the courses) may be non-refundable regardless of re-rental. Any refund of those fees is separate from the lodging refund above and is subject to the third party's own policy; we will help you seek reimbursement where possible.

Because refunds depend on re-rental, we strongly recommend purchasing trip interruption or travel insurance, which may provide coverage for losses in the event of a cancellation.

Mandatory Evacuation

If state or local authorities order a mandatory evacuation of an area that includes Kismet Cottage and you comply with the order, you will receive a prorated refund for each night you are unable to occupy the property because of the order.

Refund Timing

Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days of confirmation (for cancellations, once your dates have been re-rented) to the original payment method.
